My Uncle Jerry passed away last night around midnight. He was ill with an infection and his heart couldn't take it. He was always so sweet to me and loved my son Trevor very much. He was very close with my Father and i know my dad is heartbroken over losing his younger brother so early in life. I'm sorry he's gone but he's in a better place now.

One of my fondest memories of Jerry was his ability to make you feel special. One time he took Shaugnessey and I to the St Pete/Clearwater Airport to watch president George Bush's (the first one) plane landing. We waited outside the fence and finally he came out and waved to the crowd. We watched his motorcade as he drove away and really felt the importance of seeing our President in person.
If that weren't enough, Jerry got us each a stuffed animal and took us to lunch. It was a very special day that was one of many. He will be truly missed.
